Cold start first week(well below average)-> then mostly above average, until the 29th when cold returns bringing CET back to near average.

4.5 C ... prolonged cold more likely in Jan than Dec, expecting a month with large variations, mild and perhaps stormy around mid month, colder both ends. Should all average out a bit below the recent normals but near the 350-yr average.

4.1c for me which is rather cool, cold start, mild middle, cold end.! Bring on winter!

Ah December,

Cold enough to merit a cup of mulled wine

Therefore I think 5.9! ;)

A mild(er) second half of the month will raise temps despite the cold start sadly :(

I think a cold Dec in store, i will go for around a degree below average at 4.0c
