Welcome to the forum by the way http://nwstatic.co.uk/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif where are my manners.... oooo look found them they were next to me cuppa :D

Thanks for being nice Louby :D . I think the bird is a water rail. It's a water bird (well duh!) but it is very shy. Like me. http://nwstatic.co.uk/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

I know they're not perfect, but my camera isn't a fancy-pants SLR. Oh how I want one... http://nwstatic.co.uk/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cray.gif

Hi simoothy. like the pics, where'd you take the gray wagtail?

Looking at your photo bet you're hoping for snow this winter!

By the way, in case no-one has said it yet, welcome to net-weather, they are a friendly lot on here.

Here a a few birds taken in our garden

Lovely photos Steve, especially the sparrowhawk is it?

How do you get so many birds to your birdtable? I put up one 2 months ago at least and hardly any birds at all have visited it so far http://nwstatic.co.uk/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif Mind you there don't seem to be many bords ( :D meant birds, maybe they are bord though!) around at all in the gardens lately. Perhaps when it gets colder? Or is it the wrong food? They have seed, peanuts, fatballs, cooked rice and even tinned sweetcorn this morning. The last attracted a magpie. :D

Keep at it, it took ages before birds would feed in my garden.

What do you call the Swan, Nytol? :)

Love the water reflections on the grebe photo, oh... and the grebe's pretty good too. :)

Great photos everyone.

Love the photo of the wren. As you may have seen I tried getting a photo of a wren in my garden.

1 It's a little to far away

2 little buggers don't keep still long enough.
