Brilliant, I adore birds of prey. I am yet to get a good shot of one (not through lack of trying!!)

Owls are my favourite. See Tawny and Barn Owls quite often in this bit of the Fens, but I don't have the camera gear to get a good shot of them. Lovely to see them though.

I have never seen a Tawny, did have a barn owl sit looking at me above my head and managed to fire off a quick shot (Photo!) it was so silent even though it was only a few feet away

Barn Owl (Not so good a shot)

Was a bit unlucky really, was crawling along on my belly (was like David Attingbourgh) trying to get the shot, but then Ozzy decided to bark :) and it flew off , but I was pleased with what I did get :)

Oh dear, mine are going to look rubbish compared to everyone elses on this thread ;) . Don't have many bird photos but here are a few I took of a rather scruffy Collared Dove in our garden.

The road along the South West coast of the Isle of Wight is called the Military rd, it is very convenient for getting to sea cliffs where one can look down on birds of pray, this aspect of photography is not really my forte, hence the rather poor picture snatched whilst the camera was in another mode, taking arty shots of flowers :)post-4726-1222598319_thumb.jpg

Great shot that Rusty :) Love the idea of looking down on a brid of prey which itself is looking down!

You will need to view large size..........

That's beautiful - I think it's a juvenile Hobby. Amazing shot, anyway.

That's gorgeous, too. I'm not sure, but is that a juvenile Peregine?

Juvenile female sparrowhawk would be my guess, could be a goshawk

as female sparrowhawks are oftem mistaken as goshawks, but with nothing

in the photo to judge the scale of things its quite difficult.

Great photo btw.
