A damsel I took last summer. Took multiple efforts to get something half decent.

It was just a couple of years back that I started trapping moths. Most are described "common" - so how come I had never "seen" any of them before?
When you start photographing them you begin to realise what beautiful little creatures they are. This is one of them - the Ghost Moth...

We went to the local park on Saturday, and what a lovely day it was to get out and about, one of the best parts of the day was this,i caught a grasshopper in my hand and look has it that i brought my camera to take some pics(as you do) of the family etc, below of the grasshopper in macro mode

after this snap, the grasshopper stayed on my fingers for another 10 minutes :shok: ,which i found remarkable, then having to shove it off my finger back on to the grass.

Not unusual for a grasshopper to land on you, but when they realise where they are they're usually pretty quick to move on.

This is a female Bark Boxer Mantis, Paraoxypilus sp., shaping up like a regular little pugalist.

A sweet little digger wasp, called a bee wolf, trying to get into a tunnel, it's already occupied by a wasp and is told to go away. I saw another one dragging a dead bee into a tunnel, they catch bees to store up inside the 1m long holes to feed their wasp larvae.
