An 8.0 magnitude earthquake has occurred just south of the Mexico. Tsunami waves possible within the next 3 hours along the coast of Mexico https://t.co/xDFouPteOz

We were on holiday in Mexico at the time but thankfully near Cancun so only felt the sort of minor tremors we occasionally get in the UK.

still it was enough to send people rushing out of rooms and the evacuation of the night club in our hotel.

certainly glad we were several hundred miles from the epicentre.

I managed a quick screen-grab of the Popocatepetl livestream before the site got overloaded. I suspect geologists already surveying the volcano will be keeping a very close eye on it now after the magma-chamber being shaken by the 7.1 quake

Puebla: population of just over 3million

Izúcar de Matamoros: population of 70,000

Aside from Mexico City these are the two most populated cities in the same region.

Are we getting the warning signs that the dreaded big big one is going to happen on the ring of fire.

Yesterdays earth quakes on the Pacific Plate or Ring of Fire are 12 total! Most are in the pacific islands.

This has all been prophesied in the book of revelation - catastrophic events have already begun... The beginning of the end of the world as we know it.

This is a handy link for viewing and also displaying how nothing unusual is happening http://earthquakes.volcanodiscovery.com

At the very top you can 'Hide' either Volcanoes or Quakes which makes the world map a little easier on the eye
