Just had a report from a work collegue that it is snowing in Pickering on the N York Moors & the local school has just sent everyone home.

Looks like I maybe going home early

I'm in Northern Scotland, and although we have had a little snow (started around 1pm) it has been very wet snow and has made no accumulation at all.

It was a lot milder than expected this morning - over night temperature didn't fall much below 0'C, but the last few hours has seen it get colder.

Not actually snow at the moment, but the sky is very grey and the wind is picking up too...

I'll post back, when we get more

The snow we had an hour or so ago has turned into very light drizzle. Although my mates in Orkney and Wick have said they have snow now.

It's just started snowing here in Edinburgh. Very tiny flakes at the moment, but they seem to be getting bigger.

Lovely DRY snow fell here for a bit a minute ago! Only light, but it was dry and started to stick even though it was very light. (S.Wales, 200m asl)

Snow showers in sittingbourne kent, very light but it is coming over very dark now so hopefully in for a good shower.

The snow seems to have pst us now and not left anything behind. It snowed for about 3 hours, but was very light at times and when it was heavier it was very wet so didn't lie.

The sky is clear with few clouds now, although it si now far colder and the wind is a lot stronger. I suppose the stong winds could bring in some more showers later tonight..

Snowed lightly in Brentwood (Essex) at approx 4.00pm, also Waltham Abbey (Essex) has had a light shower of snow this afternoon.

We had a sprinkle of snow here south of bristol about half an hour or so ago.

Not much of a shower - but it's a start!!
