I used simple binoculars and stopwatch, to obtain the orbit from

positions relative to the background stars.

Top skills. Were you in the Pacific region under the orbital path at the time or did you extrapolate orbital decay from observing multiple passes at your observation position?

It's funny, an american guy that I work with has already suggested that the satellite was sent up for no other mission than to explode at the push of a button as it was loaded with explosives, it's all about flexing muscle and looking like their technology is highly accurate apparently
