Moderate frost and freezing fog overnight and this morning, Minimum overnight air temperature –4.2c, grass minimum –9c.

Currently at 9am, very cold with a moderate frost and freezing fog. The morning and after continued misty, overcast and very cold, the maximum temperature only 0c.

Note of Interest, there were reports of light snowfall around 08:00hrs from south-western areas of Burton. As dense freezing fog was widespread throughout the area today, it seems that a possible pollutant was causing a seeding effect on the freezing fog, thus causing light snow to precipitate out, a quote from one source saying that more than 1CM of snow had fallen in an hour.
