Well, a proper winters feeling day here ,but very cold ,but not quite an ice day!

Another cold night last night but a layer of low cloud came in with the fog and so the temp was a little higher then the previous nights so we didn't have a frost.

Another almost cloudless day but with the significant difference that the temperature, instead of rising steadily to reach a max' around 6c during the afternoon as it has on the last few days of this inversion, reached a max' of 2.7c at 0917 and fell back to 0.1c by 0940, it then remained between 0.1c and 0.9c for the rest of daylight hours despite continuous sunshine.

Around 1710 a large bank of fog, which had been visible toward the eastern horizon all day, suddenly decided to move west and upward; the temp' fell like a stone to -4.2c at 1800, the lowest of the entire winter here. The top of the fog varies between about 310 and 330 mts

Doing well out of this high over here!

Clear and frosty overnight, but not a hard one this time.

Min: -2.7c @ 0130.

Grass min: -8.4c.

Dry again yesterday- thats 12 days or so now.

Yet again- unbroken though rather hazy sunshine.

Mild in the afternoon, though to be honest I found it a touch chilly out and about., as I did not have enough layers on

Max: 10.4c @ 1500, still not enough to clear all the shade frost on the lawn, 4th day now of this, and the lawns rock hard, which is rather unusual in winters of late.

Currently: Clear, moonlit and frosty.

Temp: +0.9c.

Grass: -6.1c steady.

Pressure: 1020 mbar, steady.

Dad had max of just 2.6c in Coventry today, but it was sunny, not foggy.

Another very frosty start with a minimum of -3.1C. Sunny all day though rather hazy this afternoon. Frosty again now, more frost forming on already-existent frost from last night. Max was 4.9C.
