thick freezing fog with no wind and sky obscured. Been foggy since just after 2400, temp -2.2C, its lowest at the moment.

Beautiful sunrise with temps dropping to 0.8oC last night

has left a slight frost. Newcastle 10 mile inland from here

is under a thick blanket of fog.

Just seen the time on the webcam still. looks like

we are an hour ahead of the rest of the country..!! LOL

After another clear and cold night with a moderate frost the day has begun sunny and very frosty. Minimum air temperature –3.3c, minimum on the grass –7.0c.

Readings at 09:00

Sky Conditions, 1 Okta of Cirrus.

A fairly cold night last night with lots of fog about now, some of it denseearlier on though it does seem to be lifting right now.

A clear night with a sharp ground frost but no air frost, a hard frost in the valleys though. Currently sunny and if it stays like this all day we'll be heading for almost 24 hours sunshine in 3 days.

No frost here but frost in the mid-Wirral valley, a minimum of 3.0C here last night, currently 7.3C and beautifully sunny!

sun trying to break through here but still down around 5-600 metres and quite surprisingly its still below zero C, -0.8C, must be about the coldest for this time in the morning this winter for here.

yep, quick trawl through the Davis data, easily the lowest at this time of the morning.

Hard to imagine a more perfect day here (which follows another perfect day yesterday of unbroken sunshine, light winds and a max of 13.4c) with wall to wall sunshine and a noon temp of 13.1c.

The tortoise is outside sunning himself again, the birds are singing and I've just seen the 3rd bee of the year - however it could be the same one I saw over the weekend just winding me up... :lol:
