After the hailstorm around 0900 it cleared rapidly and the sun came out for a couple of hours. A few brief and light showers of soft hail between 1300 and 1430 and a heavy shower of small hail around 1520-1530. The showers turned to snow by 1600 and there have been a couple of moderate snow showers since then giving a cover of 1cm.

The SW gale early this morning eased as the cold front moved through but the wind increased again from the west during the morning and there was a gust of 66 mph at 1134. During the afternoon the wind was generally f5-6 W but backed SW by early evening.
