There was a fairly big snow event over parts of the UK on the 15th of January 1922 when an Atlantic low engaged a Scandinavian block. Over the higher parts of Derbyshire, 2 feet of level snow was reported and as much as 6 inches fell in parts of London.

Here's from the Times of 16th of January 1922 on the snow event

In that first article, second paragraph, the result of the winter snow was similar. Whilst northern parts of Derbyshire has had some decent snow, down here in the southern parts, there was much less.

Interesting article Mr D.
