After last nights squally sleet and snow storm the day dawned clear but cold with sub zero wind chill, in the fresh SW wind and a slight covering of half melted snow which turned in to ice. Currently at reading time, bright, breezy and cold with ice underfoot, Air temperature 3.0c after a minimum of 2.3c. Grass minimum –0.5c. The morning was dry with sunshine and a cool breeze; the afternoon became cloudier with a period of rain. The daytime temperature reached 5.8c, but the evening saw a rising temperature so by the end of the 24-hour period at 9am the Maximum was 10c.

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly conditions can change in this country :lol: .

From a mild morning with max of 11c and blustery showers on a gale force SW wind, to a very wet and windy early afternoon to a calm mid-late afternoon under a slowly clearing sky with the temp dropping back to 7c now.

Rain overnight which cleared by 0700 and gave 8.1 mm. Dry and cloudy until 1100 when further rain arrived and lasted until 1330, a few spells of moderate rain but nothing to get excited about. The cloud cleared temporarily after 1500 but increased again by sunset as a few showers moved east just to the north of here.
