Heavy and persistant rain here for the the last hour or so and still falling.

Edit: Occasional Very Heavy bursts now.. Not good.

Once again this location has largely missed out on the rain - there maybe a bit more to come judging by the rainfall radar but weve only managed 0.5mm out of this. I'm not complaining though, its been one of the driest places to be this summer.

Well we have had drizzle, rain and then heavy rain for most of the morning. The back edge of the system has just gone through very quickly giving a very impressive skyscape, overhead we have mammatus hanging below nimbostratus and high level cirrus on the back edge of the front and clear blue sky stretching to the western horizon. Anyone in east devon/somerset/dorset may want to grab a camera in the next hour or so.

saw it swebby tho was at work the contrast was amazing and happened so quickly
