Scottish weather has less variation in temperatures I think. Warm days are cooled more by the cold ocean near by in the summer and cold days are warmed by warmer sea near by in the winter. Lots of weather systems coming from the Atlantic to give cloudy damp days with occasional snowy days in winter.
