A SEVERE THREAT IS EXPECTED TO INCREASE THROUGH EARLY EVENING ACROSS

PORTIONS OF SOUTHEAST/EAST CENTRAL CO INTO NORTHWEST KS AND

SOUTHWEST NEB. A WATCH MAY BE NEEDED IN THE NEXT 1-2 HOURS.

LATEST SURFACE ANALYSIS FEATURES 999 MB SURFACE LOW IN FAR SOUTHEAST

CO ALONG/SOUTH OF THE ARKANSAS RIVER VALLEY BETWEEN LA JUNTA AND

SPRINGFIELD...WITH QUASI-STATIONARY FRONT ANGLING FROM EAST CENTRAL

CO INTO NORTHWEST KS. SATELLITE TRENDS OVER THE PAST HOUR REVEALS CU

FIELD CONTINUING TO DEEPEN/INCREASE FROM THE CO FOOTHILLS EASTWARD

INTO THE WELL-MIXED AIRMASS ACROSS SOUTHEAST CO...INCLUDING AREAS

EAST/NORTHEAST OF TRINIDAD AS OF 22Z. WITH TIME...AS LARGE SCALE

FORCING FOR ASCENT INCREASES/OVERSPREADS THE REGION...STORMS ARE

EXPECTED TO INCREASE IN COVERAGE/INTENSITY ACROSS EAST CENTRAL CO

EAST/NORTHEASTWARD INTO WESTERN KS AND FAR SOUTHWEST NEB.

ALTHOUGH BOUNDARY LAYER DEWPOINTS/INSTABILITY IS LIMITED /ESPECIALLY

WITH WEST EXTENT INTO CO/...A STRONGLY SHEARED ENVIRONMENT WILL

FAVOR THE EVENTUAL DEVELOPMENT OF SUPERCELLS ALONG/NORTH OF THE

SURFACE FRONT. IN ADDITION TO LARGE HAIL...A TORNADO THREAT WOULD

yeah it was down for just over 20mins..

Storms showing signs of weakening, but talk of

them still having rotation.

i havent heard off the team for over 90 mins..

should think they're tracking the storms nw kansas, they were'nt to far

away from here..still tornado warned..

it'll be quite dark over there now, dont know

if the team would want to chase at night, can get

very hairy even pro-chasers dont like 'blind' chasing.

will try i just nodded off there and i'd filled the page with a load of nnnnnn's ..ha ha ,gonna get some coffee down me , good night potty, nice and fresh for tomorraz chase.

Passing south of Greensburg Kansas..

Even more pronounced now ..jeez..

Meteorologist comparing this tornado with the massive may 3rd 1999 tornado!!

Tornado still on the ground towards Trousdale 10 mins till it hits.

Reports coming in that Greensburg took a direct hit, significant damage!!

Premilary reports are saying 60% of homes in

Greensburg have been destroyed..

Another large tornado has been spotted 4 mile N of Trousdale and another at 3 miles south Hopewell. These two towns could be hit twice!!

Hospitals are now reporting serious injuries..
