It won't be long before we reach last year total of 221 days. Hopefully at the end of the year, it will reach 260/268 sun spotless days.

Agreed,  but I think that's observed rather than adjusted so would like to see what that is but site isn't very helpful last time I looked link was U/S.

Thanks....really is down in its boots then! Just out of curiosity please could you share the link as the one I unduly use doesn't like mobile devices and last time I looked on my PC wasn't working at all?

Cheers

Keep a eye on things in here with nowhere near as much know how with most.

Blank days is obvious  but what is the solar flux and its low reading mean?.

Also can someone shed a little light on the thermo sphere?

Thanks in advance.

Basically, we are at a very low solar minimum, as indicated by all three readings.

Some here hope that this means that we will get a very snowy cold winter. It hasn't proved to be the case over the last few years.

I have heard that there is more chance of a colder winter, when we are going out of solar minimum.

Descending phase of solar cycle actually correlates with milder than average winters. We are past that now.

MINOR GEOMAGNETIC STORM IN PROGRESS: As predicted, a high-speed stream of solar wind is buffeting Earth's magnetic field today, Oct. 25th. This is causing minor G1-class geomagnetic storms and auroras around the Arctic Circle. Hours ago, the sky turned green over Abisko, Sweden:
