Completely clear skies here and I'm lucky to be in a very dark location. Cannot see anything, am I too far south?

Make sure you are fully dark adapted. at Kp 8-8.5 this is a pretty good event. Magnetograms still going bonkers and Bz still South. You could be in for a chance but be patient

Skies cleared here and possibly what appears to be a faint green glow very low on the north horizon... Sightings now in Scotland,

Hmm if Moscow has/had good northern lights but is well south of them on that map..

unless they 'shift round' to an extent as the Earth rotates and they covered Moscow earlier, but still looks a tad far south.

Looks like a spectacular display in the Outer Hebrides just now.

The low green glow I could see earlier has now faded so that helps confirm it wasn't light pollution. I'm always dubious this far south that what I'm seeing isn't the aurora as we rarely get anything more than 10 degrees above the horizon but the OH confirmed it was a definite greenish hue.

It's clear but hazy here. Can't see a thing though, camera can just pick up a slight purple tint but the light pollution from Carlisle reflecting off this haze is drowning it out.

I have seen the aurora from here and it was spectacular back in early April 2000. Making me wonder just what the kp level was back then because although visibility is not ideal tonight, I couldn't tell if I was looking at it. Back in early April 2000, it was so obvious. Even saw coronal features from here.

Had a look outside but couldn't see anything, moisture in the air is somewhat hampering things with it being crystal-clear above, yet visibility looking towards the horizon is around 3 miles, if that. Good weather rarely comes along for when these geomagnetic storms hit.

We have light pollution here as you would expect but even if I made a drive to somewhere more secluded, there's just too much haze and mist around. Not worth it. Shame I'm not up in Scotland because you'd have a better chance of seeing them above you rather than on the horizon.

My grandmother has seen the aurora around these parts, but I've never seen them, not even once.

No joy here. Thick layer of cloud now augmented with mist. Time for bed.

No joy here either and have been out several times. Not well enough to stay out for long and that could be part of the problem as the skies are still clear here..

Here's a pic took up on the moors near me. If only I stayed out a bit longer. Gutted! https://twitter.com/lisamsutch/status/578004939320008704

Have seen some great photos of lasts nights display on Twitter. As far south as May Hill in Gloucestershire, and the long Mynd in Shropshire.

I think height was needed to clear the worst of the mist, most pics ive seen taken in the Peaks last night have come from Saddleworth, Roaches, and Stanage Edge where the height and darker skies obviously played a more vital part in spotting the display. I was out from 10pm until 12.30am and despite my persistence the only 'dancing lights' I saw moving were from car headlights.
