thanks for this new tool. i've tried it on a test page for my website and seem to get a problem or clash between the google map element and your iframe. also the netweather link opens within the frame which is a problem as its only 400 wide - i'd prefer a new page if possible.

this is the test page http://www.lortonweather.co.uk/wrkg%20default.htm which stops loading at the inserted i frame it should be like my main page at http://www.lortonweather.co.uk

any comments/advice gladly accepted.

update: the ie error trap is showing an object required at line 44, char 22 which is part of the google script - not sure what clash is happening but some clash seems to be.

I've fixed the links so they open into new windows now. As for the other problem, I'm not sure what the problem is with the page loading though, iframes are very common and shouldn't cause that. I'll see if I can find out anything which may cause that and come back to you.

Could you try this for me please, change the code to:

<iframe src="http://www.netweather.tv/4web/netweather4web.pl?lat=54.5;lon=-3.25;title=Lorton;template=1" width="400" height="200" frameborder="0"></iframe>

Cool, glad thats sorted - should be no problems with the layout but the size of the forecast box itself won't change. If you give me a couple of hours, I'll make a scaleable one which will then change dependant on the size of the iframe you use

thanks. I agree it does fit very well - just need hundreds of hits now, maybe if i get snow during winter people will drool over the cam, but sadly even being in the mountains doesnt gaurantee snow.

I've made the template you're using scaleable now, so it has stretched to the width you set for the iframe :)

thanks Paul. It looks great - and have you seen the forecast temp and actual - perfect too

Hi Paul,

Would it be possible to build in a message and link if a weather alert or warning had been issued, that would really be cool and hopefully generate more traffic to here?

Steve.

You can already use rss to get the latest alerts, forecasts and news for your site if you'd like to, the address for the alerts are:

http://www.netweather.tv/rss/nwalert.rss

You just need to get an rss fetcher like Magpie and you can display the alerts as and when they are updated B)

The other feeds which are available are:
