We ended up getting about an inch of snow overnight, a small let down but I usually seem to do well for snow here so no complaints. We are on for a bit of a warm up over the next seven days so this will probably be the last fully snowy day for a while as a slow thaw sets in. Still plenty of time for more snow before spring & summer kick in and no doubt plenty of sunshine to enjoy in the meantime:

Best time lapse I've seen so far.

February 15th Storm   Hello All,   Well its been quite a few weeks lately, we've had huge amounts of snow here in New Brunswick, the most I've seen in the 8 years I have lived here. I think in les

I wish our downgrades were like that

It's been mild, at least the clouds have put on a wee display to keep it interesting:

    20210302_175404.thumb.jpg.57b40148a0e377971a2d327720ca7c97.jpg20210302_175544.thumb.jpg.b183369d8c91e6b5e20c04a67eae7adc.jpg20210302_175539.thumb.jpg.e97b3a47e9f9ae99ddf7a00299ed8d56.jpg20210302_181521.thumb.jpg.9b2b1c679b39d7c19a3816d63238629f.jpg20210302_181904.thumb.jpg.47e402ee791242193dec66e69f91b14b.jpg

The charts are suggesting this mild weather stays with us until the start of next week before winter returns with some snow.

I've been on a wee tour with the other half, she had the joy of work so I was left alone for the day in Canada near the Rockies yesterday. I ended up driving towards the mountains but the tarmac ran out. The gravel road wasn't too bad so I kept going for a wee bit. After 20 miles I decided to head back to Rocky Mountain House (where we were staying) as I hit a fork in the road and neither option looked the best in a VW Tiguan. The weather was stunning yesterday so I got to enjoy some beautiful blue skies:

Rocky Mountain House is quite a functional town, but not without interest. I also have to say for what looked like it might be a hard-edged place everyone was immensely friendly and I'd certainly stop over again there:

    20210305_183121.thumb.jpg.7559ffd599c456c19eb02c05a2232af5.jpg20210305_173854.thumb.jpg.35583cc6034e8362fb37d7ddd65436a2.jpg20210305_174021.thumb.jpg.6a4ae3ded5ab6a49c11231ab07e99f6b.jpg

Then when I opened the curtains this morning we had snow, which made the drive home via Abraham Lake down to Lake Louise somewhat interesting:

And a cute wee hanging glacier (Crowfoot Glacier):

🤣 Looks like the place to be huge amounts likely considering that's inches not cm 😳

Yeah, yesterday was a warmest temp date record for Calgary at 18.2C, beat the previous record for that day by a couple of degrees.

We've had a stunning run of days this week, stupid amounts of sunshine and gorgeous spring weather. Average max for this time of year is 4.6C:

My phone is full of blue sky pics, these are a mix of different days:

After the last week of spring weather we're back to something more unsettled and cooler this week. Hopefully today goes out with a bang or two, then some snow overnight:

way bigger and way more frequent than the UK..t-storm season runs from end of May to early mid August..peak is Mid June to Mid end July..may get a few tornadoes thrown in for good measure
