So quite remarkably the 10th day in a row waking up with fresh snow - albeit just another dusting.

Even out on the Pacific coast, my son in Vancouver reports super cold conditions. Very low DPs spilling out from the Great divide cold high pressure block. Current Dew Point is -15c in the city centre with air temp of 0c.

Day 12 of fresh daily snow. But what a cold night. Currently -17oC at 8am. ^ Not sure I remember minus 20 being hit overnight so early.

I’d imagine with the cold air now in under a high pressure that’ll be it for snow. Quite a remarkable stretch of weather for October.

I was thinking about you and the Edmonton region and how cold it might have got. I don’t think we’ll see temps like that for a little while now. Warm up will be nice.

Much warmer now - above freezing and snow melt under way. Forecast for above freezing temps for the week and maybe close to +10oC by the weekend. Quite different from the minus 20oC at the weekend.

Someone on here in a different thread mentioned he thought this year would be a year of extremes for the NH - both cold and warm. It’s certainly starting that way.

That’s insane. That’d be a new November record for Calgary by about 3oC.

Cold rain today 2oC - miserable weather. Snow level back to about 6/7000ft - good for the ski hills though as -1oC and snowing up at sunshine

Topped out at 17oC yesterday. It was still 8oC at 6am this morning. Balmy. Big cool down on the way though...

Well the warm weather of earlier in the week is a distant memory now the cold air has moved in.

Currently minus 6oC at 8:30am with snow forecast this evening and overnight.

Its not looking to get above freezing, night or day, over the next week/10 days. Maybe down to -15oC overnight next week.

It certainly has. Currently -10oC at 6am and snowing steadily. Looking at the few cm’s on the ground it must have started a few hours ago.

saw that on CTV. Quite a dumping. A buddy in SK said he had close to 40cm. Good old fashioned prairie storm.
