Those huge 850s not quite making it, but still 23/24c, which is translating to mid thirties in a few spots in Canada. Very hot!

Also very hot across the SW at the moment - to be expected this time of the year of course, but temps approaching or exceeding 50c in the usual spots (Death Valley  Needles  etc  over the coming days. Accuweather have a heat warning out in the Death Valley region for up to 125f (51.6c) Thursday/Friday.

Got to 31c here 33c further north..however it doesn't feel like 31c does in the uk..feels more like 24/25c would back home..31/32c forecast for today.

i live in Edmonton summer temps are in fact similar to those of London without the humidity..usually it only gets above 30c 2-3 times a year...however last year we far exceeded that and have surpassed that already this summer also

Awesome thunderclouds on this cam right now.

Burbank, CA has broken the city's all time hottest observed temperature on record. Temperatures are currently at 113F, which breaks the old record high of 111.9F set back in July 2006.

And LA has just hit 111F which is also a record.

Random climate extremes - Moose Jaw in Saskatchewan, Canada, latitude similar to Plymouth, Devon - hit an August record maximum of 42.3°C on 11/08, three days later a minimum of just 1.6°C, only 3.3 degrees above the record August low of -1.7°C

I always loved living in the rockies in Alberta Canada for the extremes. We'd often have 30oC summer days followed by snow and 2 or 3oC. Conversely when there was a Chinook wind that came through it could go from -20oC to +15oC in hours. Great for an extreme weather fan.

Florida seems to be having an incredibly stormy summer, much more so than normal.

Hey guys, I'm off to Manhatten for  5 nights first week December. I know it's a long way off weather wise but anyone know what the weather is generally like this time of year out there?

Had the classic Prairie rain turns to powder snow in the space of 30 mins here last night..this happens when temps fall from plus 2/3c rapidly to minus 5c and below in a matter of minutes.

Snowy Tuesday Likely Followed By ‘Coldest Thanksgiving In More Than 100 Years’

Quote

BOSTON (CBS) — Merry Christmas! Oh wait, it’s only November? Seems only fitting that we end this cloudy, wet (some would call it miserable) fall season with a blast of cold that would be called harsh even in the heart of winter. Next up a rainy and SNOWY Tuesday, (the ninth wet Tuesday in the last 11). It’s all about location, location, location today. From rain to several inches of snow in just a 25-to-50 mile drive, buckle up… literally.

Bad news for those high school football games and turkey trots on Thursday morning. We are forecasting temperatures and wind chills just about as cold as you can get in mid-to-late November. Record lows and record low max temperatures are likely to be set this Thanksgiving. Wind chill values Thursday morning will be below zero. This should be the coldest Thanksgiving in more than 100 years and potentially the coldest ever recorded in Boston. Having fun yet?
