The sky suddenly turned grey about 5 minutes ago, now have thunder, lightning and a massive hail storm!

Big thunderstorm here in Eastbourne 11.35am with torrential hail....big deep rumbles.....came over very fast almost without warning...........took me by surprise I was expecting them this afternoon!! That was close I'm off my compter now! It's over but still developing and heading out to sea Hastings direction

First storm cleared up by midday and it has been sunshine and heavy showers this afternoon until about 15 minutes ago when had more thunder and lightning!

20 mins thundery downpour here started just before 18h with some fair sized hailstones for a minute or so. Dropped 3mm with a max rate of 18mm/hr
