Snow Wintry/precipitation Reports 16th-18th March 06

Light snow in SW Manchester - Trafford Park, from 9am to 11:30. Never settled, not even heavy enough to wet the ground where it melted.

Good covering on the Lake District mountains. Even the fells to the west near Barrow have a decent cover.

I've been working outside all day.

Between 12-15.00 there was a series of snow/soft hail/sleet flurries. Nothing lasting more than 2 minutes at a time and never threatening to even wet the ground.
