Mainly rain here in leeds early on this morning (it woke me up bashing against the window) it was sleety at times but no more than that.

TWS I missed the snow shower (probably because I went back to bed) and have only just got up!

Small band of precip just brushing the south coast, fine snow flakes at present, but reports on Isle of Wight that the flakes have gotten bigger and settling in the last 15 minutes. Looking forward to tonight as apparently some wintry precip is to push through the channel and everywhere wouth of the M4 is at risk of seeing some snow.

Good afternoon all

After some early morning snow grains by on large its been a bright sunny but bitter morning, we still have the reminants of yesterdays snow laying on the highest parts of the Downs from Dunstable to Whipsnade. However its gone very dark in comparison and the odd flake blowing around in the bitter wind. i would not be suprised to see a shower this afternoon as the cloud base is getting thicker by the second.

Heavy snow towards dawn this morning - up to an inch fell, and much of it is still lying.

Hi all,

Devon, approx 5cm overnight on high parts of Exmoor, drifted in wind into sheltered roads so being ploughed, 2cm on high North Dartmoor, slushy on roads.

Today about 2.5 cm around Salcombe (South tip of Devon) but only 3 mile inland. also drifting in 30-35mph wind. Dusting central Dartmoor today, occasional flakes throughout Devon.

Woke up to snow on the ground with around 1-2cm. It started at about 1am (i think) as rain! The sun is currently out wrecking everything!

Overnight snow, started settling at midnight, 3cm at 9 this morning, still snowing heavily at that point. All gone now, apart from on hills.

Yet another massive letdown- just a few flurries here while many parts of the Midlands even in Shropshire seem to have had a covering (heard a report of 12 inches on Clee Hills). This has happened 3 or 4 times this "winter" and I'm getting fed up

I've heard that 12" would be an unofficial 4 on the SATSIGS scale.

Continuing the weeks theme of endless variatins of snow; today we have had moderately heavy wet snow, soft hail, ice pellets, and now what can only be described as heavy snizzle. Not showing up on the MO radar. Maybe it's an iranian piloted cloud?

it has been snowing all day here in winscombe (north somerset), as there was some light snow earlier on this morning, and then at around 10.15 it absolutely chucked it down with heavy and big white flakes, and it stuck to leave about 5mm on the ground, and then we were able to have some snowball fights and then at around 11.30 it died out and stopped. there was a recent snow shower at 2.50 and now all of the snow has melted ^_^. but it keeps clouding over and a few flakes fall out of the sky, and it is looking a whitey grey cloud colour on it's way. tonight see's some more snow fall for the south of england, and then A NORTHERLY, with temps that are colder that these today. and 100% it will bring with it some more snow, YAY YAY YAY! ^_^

Prolonged showers of fine "snizzle" now, producing a slight coating on some of the rooftops, but too warm/wet to accumulate on the ground.

Moderate snizzle continues. Looks like someone's sprinkled wet sugar over the lawn, albeit with the careful hand of one who knows it's already gone out of fashion. At this rate we'll have enough for a snowball come May. I don't think there has ever been a winter with so many snow events and so little to show for it.
