About 15 minutes to go in the far SW before first contact.

Broken cloud in west Manchester, so chance of seeing something here.

doh, and heres me thinking the maximum partial eclipse was in 5 minutes, wondering why my pinhole viewer wasnt working :)

Completely forgot to add another hour on due to BST!

trying to brighten up here, maybe a chance then, also the link I gave is now working expect first contact at 10:39 our time in Turkey

grrr too much cloud around! Just like the last eclipse we had - totally overcast. It is at least bright this time so maybe some slim hope.. or not. One day I'll see one total for myself! Maybe the one in Sptizburgen in 2015...

around 11:30 will be the greatest eclipse limit in the UK at 10-20%

And here ! What a total bummer - it was glorious 5 minutes ago and I even managed to find my eclipse glasses ! Won't be needing them now it looks.....

Its still bright but no defined shape of the Sun let alone the moon over it. Most annoying!
