doh, and heres me thinking the maximum partial eclipse was in 5 minutes, wondering why my pinhole viewer wasnt working

grrr too much cloud around! Just like the last eclipse we had - totally overcast. It is at least bright this time so maybe some slim hope.. or not. One day I'll see one total for myself! Maybe the one in Sptizburgen in 2015...

Why oh why is the only area in the sky that actually has ANY cloud, the part that the sun is in!

cloud cleared long enough for me to get up then clouded over before I even got to the window

Its still bright but no defined shape of the Sun let alone the moon over it. Most annoying!
