A couple of very light snow showers here in Birmingham this evening. Smallish flakes, lasting only for half a minute or so each time, between 6:30pm and 6:50pm. Apparently something to do with the cloud layer stuck under the inversion?

Day time maxima of -2 here today as well, the coldest day I can remember since 1995.

We've had a sprinkle of snow in north Norwich sometime late afternoon-cars and bin tops have a dusting. Temps still holding above 0c, even now-strange....

the tiniest, and i mean tiniest (maybe 0.5mm) ice crystals were floating around this morning at about 0830. it was almost like frozen fog droplets and i'm surprised the gravatational pull was sufficent to bring them to earth. none-the-less they were there, and visible on the car's blue paint.

but we've just had a 2 minute flurry with proper size flakes. nice to see.

Wow, it's all happening here this morning - a small patch of blue sky in the last hour and several snow flurries which have been going since 8am.

Had light snow grains falling since about 9 a.m. here in Dorset.....very very cold outside......don't think snow is gonna amount to anything significant....oh well....maybe soon!!

Snow grains in Slough. Very light but they are there.

I can report that we have had 'Snizzle' on and off all of today - truely, bitterly cold !!!!!

Snow grains and occasional proper flurries since about 10.00. Did start to settle on cars around midday but nothing like that since.
