Severe Cold!!

In Shrewsbury magazine they had pictures of the River Severn frozen in the 40's and 60's. The pictures are unbelievable! I will scan them in & post up but i have left the magazine at my mums house (doh!) Will pick it up this weekend,if anyone else has it please post them up-the pictures are simply unreal!!.

I saw that article, what interested me was that it said 1940 was the worst of the lot- not 1947 or 1963.

Interesting wasn't it? The pictures were unreal! I hope to pick it up this weekend and post it on here-unless you can? I can't remember what it said was worse-maybe just the ice onthe Severn?
