Hello, Just wondered if anyone could advise me when the best time to divide my New Zealand Flax plant is?? Its getting huge, in fact i'm not sure i'll get it out of its giant pot! :D

All you want to know (and probably a lot more :D ) Specifically I would wait untill spring when it starts to put on new growth.

I've divided these a few times, always between November and the end of January and always successfully, in my experience they seem to be very resiliant.

I wouldn't do it in the middle of a frosty spell however.

well flax is the same family as linseed this grows from early spring to early autum so from these times should be ok when you do the deeed keep it well watered but wait until it warms up a bit late march onwards at a rough guess
