Snowing here in Scarborough at the moment. There has been 3 moderate shows leaving about an inch of snow so far this morning, in addition to what fell last night.

Last night featured showers of hail, sleet and wet snow with a temperature of 1.5-2.5C during clear intervals, and 1.0-1.5C during showers. There were brief accumulations that thawed away within minutes.

That is, until 7am, when the temperature dropped to 0C during a snow shower, and has stayed within half a degree of freezing since. Now 2cm lying snow, with accumulations right out to the coast itself.
