The snow has now arrived in Aberdeen! 11:00am

Light/Moderate snow showers, expected to increase in frequency and perhaps become heavier as day progresses.

Nothing settling yet - i'd expect lying snow around late afternoon. :D

Snow showers here this morning in Perth.

Bitterly cold with a strenghtening wind causing sub-zero windchill temperatures, snow is not settling though.

:D

a nice suprise :D here in sunderland we have just had our first shower of the day, hail and sleet. forcast said it would turn a lot warmer than it has. also very gusty at the moment. :D

Yep can confirm a hail\sleet shower in Durham too. Not particularly heavy tho and advected from the west. If the showers were coming in from a north-northeast direction then they would most likely be heavy and thundery.

We had a very heavy Sleet shower followed by hail at 12.15pm this afternoon. The temperature has also dropped to 4 degrees Celsius from 7.2 degrees Celsius.

No showers since but their is a lot of the dark stuff on the horizon :D .

Heavy shower here, turning from rain to sleet to wet snow, then back to rain and then sleet, and so on.

VERY frequent storm/wintry shower just passed with SEVERE wind gusts, with minor damage, followed by a wall of hail/snow pellats/and large blobs of slushy ice (sleet). Never expected such wintry conditions here this early...although it is now getting very cold outside. The storm is heading southwards, towards London area now, WATCH OUT FOR THIS ONE! First proper wintry shower of the season. The hail was so small and heavy it made it look like a blizzard...a dust storm of ice!
