Strange Plant (to Me)

ok everyone I'm a landscape gardener (ish) I plant lots of different varieties of tree's...shrubs and all sorts of plants....but whilst spraying out an area of land today I came across this plant ..the pictures aren't great caus they wetrer taken with my mobile so here goes

what I also should have said was inside the conker looking like shell was lots of black seeds the size of sesame seeds

and the leaf was like this

I've planted a few walnut trees and the leafs different to that ....cheers Candice....this one's gonna bug me

Thorn Apple. They're not at all common in the wild so you're lucky to have found one.

looking at the plants toxicity ...if you ate a few of them this is exatly what they would say

I see it's listed as an annual so pulling it out, breaking the sead pods and disturbing the soil will encourage new seedlings.

Yep, definately Datura, looks like it had just been got by a frost. If you keep the black seeds, they are very easy to germinate and plants grown from early on in the season can reach quite a size 94-6ft tall if fed and watered copiously. A word of warning however, all parts of the plant are deadly poisonous, especially the seeds. Symptoms vary from severe stomach upset, to convulsions to heart attack. The worst thing is that after the initial halucinogenic properties have worn off, heart and liver problems can appear up to one month after ingesting.

thorn apple we got quiet a few growing in some cover crops we thought the seed came in with the cover seed of maize and sorgum not to sure now it they are native to this country please reply if anyone knows

another person told me that they use a part of the plant for astma medicine aas well problly the same ingredient
