Hi JS,

The northern part of the country will fair best over the next couple of days.

However it improves for the south over the weekend with charts like this.

It depends on the track of the low below but if the temps hold down low enough Cork would be the place to be.

Will you please welcome Sam Jowett to the map. You can find his station at Coalville, halfway between Shepshed and Market Bosworth.

It's getting a bit congested there in the midlands, so if a couple of you could move to Scotland, it would be much appreciated.

As for the new requests in this thread, I'll add them as soon as I can!

this has just reminded me that my own weather station seems not to be accessible due to URL fault on it. Not sure how that has happened.

I asked several days ago for help and someone(I'm sorry I've also forgotten who) gave me detailed explanations on how to get it working. With all the activity I've been involved with over the past few days its all got deleted as my pm box got full with so many requests!

Can that very kind person pse pm me again with the instructions.

Many thanks and again my apologies.

John

A quick question for any LaCrosse 2300 (or similar) owners - what sort of battery life are you getting from the wireless unit?

The manual is a bit patchy on battery life, it says some strange stuff about a minimum of 6 months but it's not clear on the circumstances or if it's talking about the base unit or the sensors.

I started with a couple of re-chargeable NiMH batteries which always lasted 48 hours and no more.

In frustration I put in a couple of Alkaline Duracells which were only about 3/4 charged and they've lasted over two weeks so far in the recent arctic air and down to -7C at one point!

Does anyone have any longer term experience they could share?

Welcome to the map to both LeeKay (Wolverhampton) and Hostess-France (Naaaaaaaaaaaaaarwich). I hope the map brings you at least as much happiness as it does me, bcause frankly, it couldn't bring less.

If anyone wants to add their own site to the map, don't be scared to ask. I don't bite you know. Well.....

How come the station IWW on IOW doesnt have a link but is on the map?

Because when I mucked the map up one day and lost all the links, I couldn't find its address again and it's too much hassle to remove it from the map. If anyone has the link, I'll put it straight back up.

With several of us now having weather stations linked directly to a website, I though it might be a good idea to have one page where all the links could be found. If you click on this link you should get a map with the stations listed. Click on the weather station you want to view, and it should load up for you. So far, I've just put on (in age order) my own, my father's and John Holmes sites, but if you've got one, and would like it listing, then please let me know.

Hello OON

I've still got a little bit of work to do to update my weather website after a move from the NE coast of Scotland in the Peterhead area to further inland here at Inverurie, Aberdenshire but here we go anyway, as it currently stands:

Best wishes, John

At last....another Scottish weather station is on the map. Far be it from me to roll out the old cliche about Scots being too....no, better not. Would hate to generalise!

Hi good site but you need to get your live data to scale better . I can't read it and I don't have the problem with other sites using WD.
