Hi

This is a link to my weather station site.

http://uk.geocities.com/chrisbooth0070/lyndhurst.htm

Everything seems to be working ok now except for the wind direction needs to be realligned slightly. Will sort it out when i am back up in newcastle next week.

The location is Newcastle, pretty much in the centre.

Thanks

Chris

:D

I'll sort that out Chris, and you can now ignore your private message from me (except the bit about hating Wigan).

hey Dad

That is awful. My belief in you is utterly shattered. Laughing faces!!!

PLEASE get rid of them and restore my faith in you!

John

Hi, you can add my station if you like too....

http://www.tonbridge-weather.org.uk/

Tonbridge, Kent, UK ,

Latitude 51° 11' N, Longitude 0° 16' E

Cheers

Dave

Hi Dave,

Just had a look at your site.

It is really brilliant.

Did you get it done professionally?

I would love something like that. Mine just has plain old data at the moment.

I must switch back on my PC when I get home. It is showing last nights data.

Chris is now on in the centre of Newcastle (until his weather station gets nicked). And john.....just for you son, I've changed my signature.

thank God for that. So the world has not YET gone completely mad.

thanks

Dad

Thanks for the complements John - all my own work but then I work in IT and have had years experience with websites. Oh to be free of work commitments and able to keep the live updates running 24/7 though... :cold:

Hi OON,

Could you add mine to the map too please.

http://www.smudgpop.plus.com/weather/current.htm

It is Huddersfield (the dot will cover it nicely http://nwstatic.co.uk/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif )

It is a bit blue (not dirty blue) but will no doubt change as it is still works in progress, mind you the mian data is there for now.

Cheers

Glyn

Sorry to reply like this, but I don't appear to be able to edit my first one. :D

Anyway, If you put the dot centred over the 'Kirk' part of kirklees then thats roughly where I am. :)

With several of us now having weather stations linked directly to a website, I though it might be a good idea to have one page where all the links could be found. If you click on this link you should get a map with the stations listed. Click on the weather station you want to view, and it should load up for you. So far, I've just put on (in age order) my own, my father's and John Holmes sites, but if you've got one, and would like it listing, then please let me know.

Hi Osbourne,

I have just purchased a davis vantage pro2 wireless weather station & have it connected to my pc with weather display.

I would like to list my station, could you please give me instructions on how to go about it.

I live on the west coast of cumbria at Waberthwaite.

Many Thanks

( newbiggin)

Well, you need to get yourself a website and use the weatherlink to upload the information to your site. I can then link to the website. The Davis site is a good starting point, but I've also found these sites very useful...http://www.weathermatrix.net/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=4

hi all

Just got back from my skiing holiday and noticed my weather station has 'stopped' updating real weather. From about 2300 on 22 January 2006.

At the moment I have no idea what the problem is, but hope to sort something out within the next 24 hours.

regards

John

nope none in the village but some on the higher areas last Saturday with the arrival of the dreaded fohn. Never seen anything like it in 20 years at the same time each year. Winds over 50kph in the village, its rare its ever more than a gentle breeze. On the Jungfrau itself, 12,000ft, 140kph with a temp of -1C, its usually around -15C or lower. In the village it went from -6C to +8c in about 12 hours. Oddly enough the snow cover remained much the same. Again, fortunately the fohn only lasted about 18 hours and then back to normal.

Great skiing conditions, especially before the fohn, but still good even yesterday but it needs more snow. In 13 days there were totally cloudless skies on 10 of them, so no doubt waking up at home in the morning will be a bit of a downer!

Welcome back John.

Hope you had a good time, it's been as dull as ditchwater here the past week so you haven't missed much.

Total cloud cover all day here which I gather has been the case for over a week.

Give me the cloudless skies of Wengen please, and the bonus of lots of white snow!

I notice you've got a bit of an Eastern vacancy here in bumpkin land Norfolk! I've a Lacrosse 2300 in (almost) central Norwich which I would have nailed up already but pesky real life keeps getting in the way!

I also know of another member of the site in a similarly unfinished installation who lives in Stanfield, Norfolk - 20 miles west of Norwich. The difference between the two is often surprising. Not sure of his name on NW though.

Thanks John,

The custom tags in WD are great for the web page, once you find the ones you need.

Thanks for the tip steve,

I have not really got a great handle on WD yet.

You can PM me if you know how to cut through a lot of the uneccessary stuff.
