I use the skin that it loads with, which is normally the one we see now. Thinking about it that should do it actually.

Thanks alot Paul. :whistling:

Everytime I click to view comments on people's status updates from the main page it just sends me to the top of the page. Anyone else getting this?

Clicking ctrl+f5 on the page should sort it, if not you will need to clear your cache - we've updated some files on the forum recently and that issue means your browser is still using the old ones.

Hey, fairly new to the forum, im trying to upload a picture as an avatar, keeps saying 'image too big', how can i resize images?

The pinned topic on posting images is blank.

Also trying to upload pictures to a gallery, keep getting error messages.

Help please! cant seem to find any info on sorting out these problems!

Thanks in advance.

In terms of resizing your images, you'll need photoshop or similar to do that - I think there are some free online tools you can use if not.

What size are the pictures you're trying to upload to the gallery? If they're bigger than 3mb then you'll need to resize those too. What are the errors you're seeing?

Paul - I was just browsing through the worldwide weather 7 day forecasts and I think the 'feels like' part is in need of some attention as the temps are showing the same as the actual temps.

Thanks

Ian

It could be because there is little or no wind thus the cooling effect of the wind is zero, hence feels like and temperature will be the same?

Question for Paul I suspect?

When I open up the forum, I’m logged in, and click on ‘new posts’ it now says, no new threads.

If I then go to an item, recently added using the basic forum list, and then click on new posts it opens them up.

Similarly, once using that, it then returns, if I ask again for new posts, not having read all of them, totelling me no new posts.

Go back to para 2 again and I’m shown the new posts??

Odd, only started about 36 hours ago. Done the usual, cleared cookies etc etc.

Any ideas?

just for the past few days I am unable to change the location of the 7 day forecast. normally i type in my location and a dropdown box displays several locations for my coordinates and I choose one. Not letting me do this anymore. This is on my mobile phone this happens. Maemo firefox browser. happened about the same time gusts were added strangely.

We've recently changed the system on there for locations, if you type in your location it should show a number of selections just beneath the input box, selecting one of those will display the forecast :)

Hi Paul.

Just wondering when we will see the features in your blog come to life? Such as the winter photo competition and the regionals ect? :)

Hi Backtrack, the Winter photo competition will go to the first vote this weekend/early next week. The regionals will be live within the next couple of weeks hopefully.

The deleted posts on the MO thread seem to change the page number when trying to find the latest post. Is there any way of dumping these posts permanently so this doesn't occur? Presently, I enter page fifteen only to find out we are on page 17!

This may be a bug in the software which will be solved with an upgrade we'll be putting live in the next day or so. If not, we'll have to start regularly tidying the deletes if they are the cause.
