If you mean the Winter Forum Stu, then it'll change from the Autumn Discussion on Dec 1st :)

Just a quick question about the model comparison feature.

It seems (and has been for a little while) that the ECM isnt loading up to compare.

GFS and UKMO are all loading up fine :whistling:

I was just wondering how the total members posts are calculated, as i've posted about 15 times on the same thread, but it says my total posts is only 11 (or 12)

This was from my profile

Total Cumulative Posts 12

( 4.1 posts per day / 0.01% of total forum posts )

Most active in Games / quizzes

( 15 posts / 34% of this member's active posts )

Thanks

The posts in the Cafe dont count to combat spamming http://nwstatic.co.uk/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif

So you get +1 for the post count in every other area of the forum apart from the cafe.

They basically just take each 15 minute radar update, take the rain rate and divide it by four (as it's in mm/hr) to come up with a total for that period. They're then added together, so in terms of what the radar shows, it's spot on.

The only inaccuracy you may find is that the rain rates from the radar are given in 5km grids, so local variation within that is possible http://nwstatic.co.uk/forum/public/style_emoticons//laugh.gif

From what I've seen they're pretty good though.

Hi, been using the site for a while and have a suggested improvement to the navigation of the pages.

I will explain!

You have....

Netweather UK and worldwide weather forum > Weather discussion > Autumn discussion

...at the top of every page

I keep finding that I am normally at the bottom of a page when I want to use this link.

How about duplicating this link at the bottom of every page it is used.

What are other peoples thoughts on this, do you find the same?

Thanks

Dave

Just click "Top" in the bottom post, you'll then be back up at your required level.

Thanks for your reply, a good suggestion!

However for ease of use this is still 2 clicks instead of one. I find the best sites are the ones you can navigate with the least number of clicks!

Dave

You also have the option to jump back to the forum area you were in at the bottom by clicking the bold forum title between the next oldest and next newest links.

You can also use the drop down menu to take you anywhere else on the forum too :)

Unfortunately that doesn't really tie in the with focus of that sub I'm afraid as it's meant to be aimed at those who just want pretty basic and simple but detailed info as opposed to the more complex stuff.

There are some free skew-t's in the datacentre though:
