Sometimes extensions can cause issues with the forum as I found myself once

adblock plus works fine for me for the most part. adblocker ultimate is known to slow down some sites. Facebook lags to a crawl.

I would like to post a video I have seen from a Facebook page. I add the Embed code/address (below ) by copying it, but only the address shows up like this when i try to post it. Whats the problem, how can I fix it?

<iframe src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fabcnews.au%2Fvideos%2F10158560527744988%2F&show_text=0&width=476" width="476" height="476" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" allowFullScreen="true"></iframe>

Recently, copying and pasting links directly into the comment box doesn't work for me. They don't register as links, just as plain text - I have to use the link button to make them work as links.

Same for e.g. twitter tweet links. They don't automatically turn to embedded tweets any more.

Image links are playing up too; I get thumbnails only when pasting in a link to an online image rather than the thumbnail which is linking to the actual big version.

Been like this for  a week or two. Seems to be just me as others are embedding tweets ok.

I tried some different browers and signing in / out etc, but couldn't solve it. Did I maybe press something on forum settings?

Anyone any ideas? Would be appreciated thanks.

Sounds stupid but have you pressed the space bar straight after pasting the link?

That doesn't seem to have been the problem, but weirdly, the moment you responded to me, the problem went away.

Thanks.

How many posts have you made in other parts of the forum in the past month?

Members marked as spammers are removed in bulk periodically, and from what I can see there's no spam posts active on the site, although, if there are please report them and we can sort them out.

Unable to sign in on any mobile web browser. The burger menu does nothing when tapping it.

Can't recreate that here, and there haven't been any changes to that side of things of late, perhaps clear browser cache etc, see if that helps?

It is working again.. weird!

I actually installed 3 other browsers to check it wasn't me, and all 3 wouldn't work.

The 'hamburger' menu and various other aspects of the site were non-functional for me last night (and I couldn't post, either on mobile or desktop) but it all seems to be fixed now.

Since this evening I keep getting the 'We value your privacy' message whenever I load a page on the forum when using Chrome, doesn't do it when using Firefox.

Perhaps clear your cookies, should only appear the once, so sounds like something isn't right there. No problems in chrome here.
