If I'm honest I'm not sure what the problem is so can't actually tell you how to solve it at the moment. As Thundery says, the chances of it being anything on the forum is very low - with only 2 of you having the issue and the fact that the forum creators have given us a clean bill of health..

If you click the link at the bottom of the forum which says 'delete all cookies set by this board' it may help (you will get logged out when you do that).

Another thing to try is to clear all the cookies from your browser - you do this (assuming you have internet explorer) by going to the tools menu, then selecting internet options and then clicking the delete cookies button :)

It's definately Spy Sweeper causing it. I've just installed Spy Sweeper and it's deleting the net-weather.co.uk cookie, I'll let you know if I find a way around it. :)

Try this for me please:

Open Spy Sweeper

Click on "Options" on the left

Click on "Sweep Options" at the top

Now Untick "Sweep Cookies"

Now go into Internet Explorer

Tools >> Internet Options

Delete Cookies

Delete Files

Clear History

Now log-in again, close Internet Explorer, re-open Internet Explorer and go to net-weather again. Does it stay logged in?

Hold the applause Tim. Went off for more than a minute and it logged me off. I give up. :)

My problem is probably that, although I like to think I have a fair knowledge of weather..my knowledge of I.T. is the same as Michael Beetie's knowledge of grammer :(:)

Ok, this might take a while:

Open Spy Sweeper

Go to Options on the left

Sweep Options at the top

Make sure "Sweep Cookies" is ticked

Now go to Shields on the left

Internet Explorer at the top

Untick "IE Tracking Cookie Shield"

Now go to Sweep Now

Press Start

Wait for it to finish and you'll be presented with the Remove page

On this page make sure you untick "Co Cookie" (Make sure you do this)

Now click Next

Now click Options on the left

Click on "Always Keep" at the top

Tick "Co Cookie"

You can now re-enable the IE Cookie Shield

Now see whether it keeps you logged in. :)

If you click on the tick next to all of the Cookies it found one of them will say username@net-weather.co[1] and that's the one you want to untick.

Did you tick Sweep Cookies and untick IE Tracking Cookie Shield, also make sure you are logged in to Net-weather before you do the sweep and don't close the Internet Explorer window which is logged into Net-weather. :p

Right I did what you said and I've closed and reopened IE twice and it appears to be keeping me logged on now. :p

You can do that with images as well, like the one in my signature.

Just place an IMG tag where the text is placed in the above.

Like this:

[url=http://www.net-weather.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=16103&st=68][img]<URL>[/img][/url]

Produces:

Posted Image

With the rest of your avatars image url in it.

I quite like this one.
