Having problems changing avatar. Trying to download 80x80 from My Pictures file but not having much luck. Keeps loading previous avatar which I removed. Removed avatar, selected browse button, selected image, selected open, result= old avatar! Any ideas? :whistling:

You just need to load the new avatar as you've been doing, it is working but your browser is still caching the old one - so hit ctrl+f5 to clear that and the new one should show.

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few

Still having problems changing my avatars. Don't know what the problem is. Also, downloaded avatars should be animated and they aren't? http://nwstatic.co.uk/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

Any idea why avatar animates as desktop background but not on the forums? It's driving me crazy! :wallbash:

Hi Paul.

Is there any chance of adding the GFS 30 year mean to the GEFS ensembles (or GEFS 30 year mean, although I guess the same)- Or would it just clutter everything up (not sure what it would look like)?

is the 'feels like' functionality working in the 7 and 16 day weather forecast section? I would have thought with the wind chill factor that it would be much colder.

Thanks Ian :yahoo:

There are certainly no server problems now, it could be an issue with your isp or the route into the server or it could be an issue with ie perhaps storing a broken link. First port of call is probably to remove the temporary files and cache from ie and see if that helps.

I'm also not seeing the list of people viewing the thread I'm viewing, if that makes any sense.

I can take a stab and say that due to the number of members being online at once, it saves space.

same as above

Yep, when it's very busy we do tend to limit some of the nice but not vital features just to save a bit off of the servers, we were experimenting with a few settings yesterday to see what affect changing them had (such as the locations in the profiles).
