No, Cookie. These things need discipline to keep them in line. For example... If Netweather as a whole got stuck on one page and you couldn't read any threads, wouldn't you want to kick it into line as well?

Theoretically speaking of course. But I don't condone kicking any hardware unless absolutely necessary! (Unless you have a very short temper! ) Just count to ten, swear a bit, press F5 to refresh and if all else fails...

Phil.

Well it's great that the Ensembles are working now...

But I think they need modifying:

The scale for 2m Temps seems inappropriate when -20C has almost never been reported in England, yet 25C is reached routinely.

Is it possible to have a more technical storm convective analysis thread to run alongside the current one? It would be useful to be able to quickly refer to the more technical points and posts of any forecasts from the likes of Nick F, Paul S, Brickfielder, VP et al plus the Estofex discussion etc which often get lost in the fast moving current thread.

Thanks for (hopefully) considering.

Yep, it's something we've done before and could certainly do again - will get one setup :(

Thanks!

pm any of the forecasters and they will probably be happy to do a blog-I tend to do that when various model threads become very busy, winter=snow etc; summer=storms etc.

The GEFS ensembles are stuck again.

Is it annoying me posting here every time they freeze? If someone wants to give me a username to send a PM to instead when it next happens then I'll gladly do that.

No your posts are appreciated Goatherd, thanks for that - we're actually working on them at the moment and should hopefully have a system in place to stop them sticking soon :D

the non-stick system is firmly in place - unfortunately it doesnt appear to work under all circumstances yet

OK, thanks. Sometimes I haven't posted because I worried it might be annoying, but I'll do so if it happens in the future. Hopefully not though. :)

Given them the customary boot up the backside, just running the 6z now and will be done in about 20mins. Looks like the new system isn't quite doing what it's supposed to!!

The forum has gone haywire for me. It is all very lo-tech (and no it isn't on lo-tech mode either, that is more hi-tech than this!).

Anybody else having the same problem?

Yup. Looks like someone deleted the forum skin or something and we've reverted to a barebone template.

Tricky to get around so hope it gets fixed soon.

Me too...in fact I'm not even sure whether I'm typing this in the right place...all the graphics have gone and I've just got text. Thought it might be due to updates downloaded today, but have tried Firefox, Chrome and IE and all seem to tbe the same.
