Had heavy sleet here last night (about 10pm) and just had some sleet here a few minutes ago. I can't see what it's like on the hills because they're covered in cloud.

Currently 4.8º and....er....nasty.

Snow here at Stratos-over-the-Dale: sleeting at around 22h when I checked (of the melted flakes in rain variety). Just looked again and car now covered with snow. And there was I just thinking that it never snows nowadays in April, even on the hills. Hats off to the MetO for calling this one very well.

Cold and wet here just outside Belfast in Newtownabbey with lying snow in the hills behind me (and further up eastern co.Antrim) with the snowline around 150 - 200m asl.

Wet snow during the early hours of this morning. Didn't settle here but hills above about 400m to the north of me were white with snow until mid-morning.
