Fifth snow shower of the day in Derby. The sun was out at the same time and together with the dark clouds looked fantastic.

Been Hailing and Snowing all day down the east coast, with little bits of brilliant sunshine between the storms. Got cought in some monster hail storms driving over the Wolds. At around 6.00pm tonight another hail/snowstorm came through the area.

A little of it started to lay

Some very big flakes fell from the back end of the storm. Awesome looking cloud structure as it disappeared over the hills behind my house :)

Blue skies following the snow clouds but more ominous clouds on their way in the distance

Lets see what the next set of storm clouds bring :)

Had 4 heavy snow showers tonight after a mainly dry day and some rain early this morning. The last of the snow showers lasted around 25 minutes and has left a dusting on the grass, cars and roofs. There was a maximum temperature today of only 6.8°C, which just goes to show a northerly even in April can be quite potent.

Snow during the early hours of this mornng gave a cover of 0.7cm by 6.30, this had almost all gone by 8.30. Hills to the east and north of me had about double this depth and this lasted until mid to late morning.

Short showers of snow and hail during the day but none settled.

Snowing here for 15 minutes now. A healthy covering on the minor road behind my house :) My camera has run out of battery though so no pics for now...
