Heavy snow here this morning between 7am and 9.30am gave 2cm of fresh snow.

This followed snow and hail showers during yesterday evening (28 Feb)which resulted in a dusting but not on road surfaces.

Since 10.30am today the sun has been to work and finally has melted all but the largest snowdrifts from last week.

Some convective cloud to the north and north east suggest maybe some sleet and snow showers later - very lttle wind and slow cloud drift down from the north.

Temp is currently 3c

Snowing like mad here, Mr M has had to cancel a trip to sunny Bristol, got 7cms lying and its throwing it down still.

A very nice surprise :)

Sunny Bristol - yea right ;)

Has been mostly rain here today but in a torrential burst between 1400 and 1445 it had some large blobs of wet snow mixed in.

A proper March day here in Lancaster- for the most part it was sunny, but between 1 and 3pm there were some heavy hail showers.

Very localised it would seem- most neighbouring areas stayed completely dry!

We had a period of around 15 minutes this morning where the rain turned to extremely wet snow which was sort of like a sludge falling from the sky in massive globules of around 1½" in diameter, very unusual ;)

Rain turned to snow up in Stratosborough this evening, light snow with chunky flakes for about an hour between 8-9pm, gave a dusting up here though nothing lower down below about 700'.
