After loads of showers yesterday and a couple of thaws, a heavy shower came in last night and dumped another 2cm, it has frozen solid this morning.

Heavy snow now!!! - large flakes falling from the skies :) Should make an interesting journey to work, and I also expect people will be asking to leave early today. :D particularly if the snow keeps coming throughout the day.

We had .5 cm's covering here when I woke up; but unlike yesterday it's stuck everywhere - dry not half melted. And according to the radar another band of showers about to imminently hit.

9:00am

We got hit by showers again at 8:40, light to begin with, but now moderate.

Morning,

Snow/Hail showers on and off through the night in Cleethorpes.

around 0800 proper snow swirling around in the raw wind- big flakes. Tried to settle but just left a sprinkling on the coast. Further inland it did settle. Wind more biting today and by looking out over the Humber/North Sea, a rash of showers look like they'll be creeping in. Lincolnshire in general got a good covering and Lincs FM read out a large list of closed Schools throughout the region.

Lets see how the day pans out......

Snwing steadily here since 7am, got a covering of about 4 or 5 cms.

Still snowing lightly and the radar looks interesting for this morning!

:D Sledging anyone?

4 INCHES!!! 10CM down here in Maidstone WOW!!!!! :):D:):D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Ok I will stop with the capital letters!...anyway it really it a whiteout out there. We had a blizzard this morning which added to the deep accumilation there already was. That has stopped and its brightening up now. It brought a tear to my eye seeing all the lttle kids playing about in the snow. They probably havn't seen so much in their lives. Anyway I am starting on my snowman and I put a ruler in the snow and it came out as just over 10cms. That amount was expected on the north downs not on lower ground!. I will enjoy it while it lasts! :D
