Time and Date Valid For: 12.00 Saturday 22nd January to 23.59 Tuesday 25th January

Time Of Issue: 17.15 Saturday 22nd January 2005.

From 18.00 on Saturday 2nd January until 01.00 on Sunday 23rd, a band of rain in south-western districts will turn increasingly to snow on its northern flank. Wales, the West Midlands and the West Country will be affected with up to 5cm of snow over high ground.

From Sunday 23rd January through to Tuesday 25th January an increasingly cold northerly and then northeasterly airflow is now becoming established across the UK. Frequent snow showers will develop over the North Sea and will be blown inland to Eastern areas, including Eastern Scotland, Northeast England, East Anglia and the Southeast.
