Please use this thread for your discussions about the current weather or what is being forecast for the next few days in the South East and East Anglia and remember although we are blessed with some members in this region who have great knowledge about the weather the majority of the members on here are simply enthusiasts with little or no technical background so you don’t need to understand charts etc to post in here just talk about what the weather's like where you are, the impact it's had on you today, why you love/hate it at the moment etc. it's these kinds of posts that the regional threads were designed for as well as a bit of chat and banter, after all we're British so the weather should be the number one topic for us to talk about, especially at the moment with so much of it going on ! If you do head for the coast in the coming days, be sensible and don't put yourselves or anyone else in danger, the power of mother nature is a beautiful sight it's also a destructive force and not to be messed with. I hope everyone stays safe and keeps up with the Netweather/Met office warnings for the coming days, if you have any concerns regarding flooding check out this link to see if your area is at risk: http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/homeandleisure/floods/31618.aspx link to the previous one here.... http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/79259-south-east-englandeast-anglia-regional-weather-discussion-300114/page-64

Here we go folks....get ready to man the lifeboats there is more to come.... link to the previous thread here...http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/78918-south-east-east-anglia-regional-weather-discussion-311213/page-41 and a reminder of the MetO warnings...... Yellow Warning of Rain for London & South East England : Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, Greater London, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Medway, Portsmouth, Southampton, Surrey, West Sussex, Bracknell Forest, West Berkshire, Windsor and Maidenhead, Wokingham & Slough Yellow Warning of Rain for East of England : Thurrock A spell of heavy rain is likely to affect southern parts of England during the first half of Saturday, clearing eastwards early in the afternoon. A further 20 to 30 mm of rain is likely in places and much of this could fall within a 6-hour period. Further heavy showers may move eastwards later on Saturday. The public should be aware of the risk of further localised surface water flooding and disruption to travel. This warning has been updated to include southwest England. Issued at: 1645 on Fri 3 Jan 2014 Valid from: 0005 on Sat 4 Jan 2014 Valid to: 1400 on Sat 4 Jan 2014 A developing frontal system will move northeastwards across England and Wales on Saturday. The heaviest rain is likely to be across southern areas where, with ground already saturated, further localised flooding is likely. Yellow Alert of Rain for London & South East England : Brighton and Hove, East Sussex, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Portsmouth, Southampton, Surrey, West Sussex & Medway. Outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, will move east across the UK on Sunday accompanied by strong winds. Quite widespread accumulations of 10-15 mm are likely across southern areas with locally in excess of 30 mm possible over some higher ground. This additional rainfall, following the recent very wet weather, means that the public should be aware of an increased risk of both surface water and river flooding as well as disruption to transport. This warning has been updated to extend the risk of disruption into Wales. Issued at: 1629 on Fri 3 Jan 2014 Valid from: 0900 on Sun 5 Jan 2014 Valid to: 2359 on Sun 5 Jan 2014 Another spell of wet and windy weather will affect the British Isles on Sunday as a new, large deep depression develops over the Atlantic Ocean. The associated frontal system is then expected to move eastwards across Britain, perhaps not clearing the far east and southeast until Monday morning. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/warnings/#?regionName=se&from=rss&sn=BD6FEB14-C89C-538D-EF92-57D0B61910FF_3_SE&tab=warnings&map=Warnings&zoom=5&lon=-3.50&lat=55.50&fcTime=1388793600

Here we are a new thread and the last day of another year....hopefully 2014 will bring good things to everyone in this region including lots of white stuff to get the snow cup going .. I have a feeling things are going to get much colder after the 5th and within another couple of weeks from then there could well be something to measure.... I have my reasons and I will tell you what they are nearer the time but something around the 14-18th January wouldn't surprise me at all Happy new years eve to you all - hopefully I will catch up on here later if I'm still standing link to the previous thread..... http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/78862-south-east-east-anglia-regional-weather-discussion-241213/page-40

The snow depth cup can be found here…. http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/78581-south-east-east-anglia-regional-snow-depth-cup-winter-201314/ …if you haven’t entered now that’s too bad…(unless you can bribe Tom or Chris to accept a late entry ) Link to the previous thread here…. http://forum.netweather.tv/topic/78580-south-east-east-anglia-regional-weather-discussion-251113/page-40

Welcome to the new thread everyone: These regional threads are geared for a more general 'chatty' discussion to give all members a chance to post and talk about your local conditions, however, the forum is extremely busy at the moment so in the interests of keeping the regional threads running smoothly please before you post just think about whether you'd be interested in what you're saying were someone else to post it. Pointless one liners may well be deleted to ensure ease of use to all members during this period. Whilst it's difficult to take the emotion and expectancy out of any likely upcoming event, everyone would really do themselves (and others) a favour by easing off with any disappointment and negativity. I suspect most of us will be every happy with the next week (but I’m starting to think some people wouldn’t be happy if they got 2 foot of snow) but what ever happens we all enjoy weather so can we please talk about what may or may not be about to happen without winding up our fellow members. Good luck everyone, enjoy your snow when you get it Link to the previous one here……. http://forum.netweat...n/page__st__800
