  1. Keep your wits about you. Sounds a bit dangerous.
  2. Look at the little cell just popped up to the east of the IOW. It looks as if it could be intense. Please !! No, on second thoughts forget it. 10 55 radar shows that its stopped.
  3. Yeah, the kind that would look great on a time lapse video. There seems to be some forcing for the convection moving east, contra to the direction of the steering winds looking at sat animation. I'm holding my breath and am ready to run.
  4. Do you think there could be further electrified cells like these Kentish beauties, further on into tonight ? The convection doesn't look so menacing further East along the channel. I am so up for a chase to the coast tonight if there was any chance.
  5. Having spent some of the day reminiscing about October 87, talk about a 968mb low does get the old juices flowing ! Is this the calm before the storm. I sincerely hope so.
  6. Yes, I thought you might add that but i haven't heard anyone else, forecasters included, say that.
  7. Metcheck, Netweather and finally UKWW have issued their warnings associated with this event, which was first flagged up by GFS over 7 days ago. Why, at the time of writing this post, are the MET Office refusing to acknowledge this event with any form of warning, with only hours to go ? It baffles me. Is it because the Meto model doesn't agree ? So what ? All other models are, and have been, in agreement for days. They will probably wait until it's happening, and then... out come the warnings, way too late, as is often the case.
  8. Noticed this little feature just before i went to bed last night. Couldn't believe my eyes when i looked at satellite this morning ! Grace, our own little storm, after so little activity in the atlantic basin, generally.
  9. Nice new cell just popped over Northern France. Looks like it could be quite potent. Just proving that the environment is currently conducive for more MCS type convection tonight hopefully.
  10. Postcode zoom wont go beyond 15.35pm It's definitely not working. Hope someone at NW realises soon or the afternoon/evenings chase will be harder than usual.
  11. I have been trying to get the radar up for 15 mins now but no joy was working 15 mins ago. Hope servers havent crapped out already. This would be a bad point to lose radar.
  12. You sure it's not just Thundery rain ? Hope it's a good one.
  13. Just when I thought it was safe to come back on the forum. Doh !
