  1. We're 16 miles from the coast and nothing to get excited about. No snow either
  2. Not much activity in Norwich still, the occasional light shower but clear skies coming in. Temp -1c.
  3. Weird weather around Norwich. Near blizzard then sun comes out and its all melted. Then a little snow shower, then sun and so on. Temp not far off 2c and lovely in the sun. Is this a beast from the far east and therefore turning tropical! I jest, its nice to see the snow showers and it is cold in the wind but we're well into the afternoon now and nothing materialising under our yellow/amber warning area. We need cloud cover and temps dropping if any snow tonight is going to be around in the morning. Beats dull and wet any day.
  4. Sunshine in Norwich now, a few clouds around but looking to the east there is a huge bank of cloud but its not moving inland, more tracking along the coast. Hmmm...... Temp was about -1.4c so windchill is going to knock that feeling down even further.
  5. I know, something about our location and I think we're one of the dryers counties generally. Was snowing when I went to bed last night and nothing since, not even stuck from last night. Last big fall was 1991 so you would hope on balance we're due some decent snow now from the beast from the east but I fear not.
  6. I'm in my birthday suit and I'm worried a picture taken through the window will give you a reflection that will haunt you for many years! But it is snowing! Really dry outside so blowing around a lot too, hopefully sticking soon.
  7. Indeed, I'm concerned of the north and south split around Norfolk, our snow shield could be working well! Temp is up and down by 1c tonight. Was -0.5c then -1.8c and now back up to just under freezing. Weird.
  8. Temps dropping like a stone in Norwich, down from -0.5 to -1.7 in about 30 mins or so.
  9. Indeed, just feels like 2010 again with a lot of the country under snow and us with a snowflake. That's mother nature and can't be challenged so fingers crossed.
  10. Anybody from Norwich on here? I'm not feeling positive about this event now, looks like snow to the north east and south east of us and little I'm between?
  11. So I've been away for a couple of hours. Lovely day out there, car temp hovering around 4c to 5c, warm in the sun but darn cold in the wind. So is south Norwich still in line for a snowflake in the coming days or is it turning into a cold blip with warmer weather by the end of the week?
  12. Cool in Norwich this morning, overcast and damp, no frost, hopefully will clear east during the day and start to cool down. Some interesting day temps coming out on the BBC forecasts this morning with -2 daytime on Monday/Tuesday. Time to drain down your outside taps and make sure they are covered up!
  13. This! I remember most of the country under snow whilst we were having garden parties. There was a satellite picture of the UK with the wild headline of whiteout yet in Norwich is was as green as a green thing. Fingers crossed for this time round.
  14. Raining now, going to melt what little snow we've had. Still the kids got excited to see grass snow so worth it. Let's look to month-end now for any more fun.
  15. Dusting in south Norwich. Stuck to grass and roofs but pavement and roads clear.
  16. A balmy(ish) 5c in south Norwich, bit of sunshine, rather nice compared to the past few days of 2/3c. Calm before the snowstorm me hopes.
  17. Light snow in south Norwich, not settling yet, just leaving it damp.
  18. So is this snow going to make it to east Norfolk or will it fizzle out before then?
  19. 1-2cm of snow overnight in Norwich so usual chaos ensuing today on the roads. -1c currently and sky looks like there could be more showers. Weird snow though, not sure if it thawed a little then refroze as is looks icy but it's really grippy underfoot, may be because it's so rough. If it freezes tonight I expect it to be worse tomorrow. Anyway, festive scenes just before Christmas.
  20. So temps on the rise during late afternoon in Norwich, what little white mush soon melted and then it all stopped. Ok so 2c+ isn't BBQ weather but I fear any ppn will be just rain now. However if temps do drop overnight it's going to be slippy out there.
  21. Rain this morning, then sleet and now snow in south Norwich. Some sticking but mostly mush on the roads etc but temp dropped from 2c to 1c so hopefully a downward trend. If this lot freezes tonight it will be ice skating tomorrow.
