    Just been out with the dog on country lanes, wind must be gusting 40 to 50 mph, but realy warm in the sun in sheltered bits .

    To those who comented on my post , i hope the storm is weaker than predicted , just getting a bit fed up of the hype, stay safe those on the south coast !

    i feel this storm is being media hyped , yes it has the potential to be damaging ,but come monday night we will be wondering what all the fuss was about .

    On a serious note alot of trees at the roadside are weakend by damage to their root system from utility companies digging trenches...

    That and the fact we put concrete around the base of our trees !!!!

    Trees do come down in cumbria ,but due to higher average windspeeds their roots have had time to adjust to some degree .

    The storms predicted path could lead to some very heavy rain over the lake distict wich is a bit worying to say the least, and a possable sting in its tale for nw/ne as it exits the uk north of the wash ?

    Anvils to my south , nice and bright in low sun, round 3 perhaps !

    Some impressive looking cloud just to my South-west and the wind has dropped completely.

    Second bout of torrential rain, no sferics as of yet.

    Not in a car but years ago clearing the bus turnaround on earnsie bay on walney island , i could feel the wind rocking my jcb, not to mention being machine gunned with pebbles and spray !!

    Just cleared a blocked drain of leaves nearly 6 inches of standing water, rain cleared, sun trying to come out ...

    Thunder and lightning , torrential rain,clear blue sky one hour ago!

    Heavy showers rattling through on strong wind , nowt electrical though .
