Evening all, been lurking around but the cold always brings me to share data! Had the first snowfall in November since 2021 here (2010 before that!) Albeit with nothing settling, just flurries. Was going to be an ice day today, but that changed as we are now above freezing! Short and sweet as it were! Currently raining, 0.2°C DP 0.5°C. Atlantic weather returns.

Safe to say, down here we had snow falling during the early hours of yesterday morning, but it didn't last long or stick and the rain showed its hand! Just 3 miles up the road, there was snow everywhere at lunchtime... so marginal. We held onto the cold air until this morning where we went from 1°C to 9°C in just a couple of hours. 22mm of rain in total over the past 2 days. GFS 06z has decided not only to tease us with some back edge snowfall tomorrow morning, but SW areas appear to have a front coming in from the SW during the afternoon/evening. Uppers are much more supportive of snowfall across our area- one to watch?

Overnight low of -0.2°C here, not the coldest of the spell. Rain moved in from around 10am this morning, with temperatures hovering around 1°C at the time. Ice formed on some concrete surfaces and then quickly melted! Wondering what all the fuss was about, as its now 9°C with rain. 26mm fallen already!

Storms and Convective discussion - 25th July 2021 onwards
Dean E replied to Supacell's topic in Storms & Severe Weather
As others have said... Probably one of the most incredible thunderstorms I have ever experienced. Winds touched 40mph at times, extremely heavy rain and near constant lightning. As quickly as it came, it's now left us. Incredible. -
So I think we just experienced a supercell here on the south coast. Constant lightning, terrifyingly loud thunder and biblical amounts of rainfall. The wind gusts reached 40mph at times... Just incredible! Out the over side now and had 31mm of rain in 20 minutes. Crazy amounts that's have undoubtedly caused localised flooding. Never seen such a strong thunderstorm in my life.
