  1. Winds will veer SE'ly at midnight and NE'ly by 2am, so coastal areas will briefly move above freezing, before dropping as the colder air inland moves back in.
  2. Re-emerging from big gaps of lurking! Enjoying this fine and crisp weather. Keeping an eye out for that front on Wednesday that will be somewhere (who knows!)
  3. Evening all, been lurking around but the cold always brings me to share data! Had the first snowfall in November since 2021 here (2010 before that!) Albeit with nothing settling, just flurries. Was going to be an ice day today, but that changed as we are now above freezing! Short and sweet as it were! Currently raining, 0.2°C DP 0.5°C. Atlantic weather returns.
  4. Safe to say, down here we had snow falling during the early hours of yesterday morning, but it didn't last long or stick and the rain showed its hand! Just 3 miles up the road, there was snow everywhere at lunchtime... so marginal. We held onto the cold air until this morning where we went from 1°C to 9°C in just a couple of hours. 22mm of rain in total over the past 2 days. GFS 06z has decided not only to tease us with some back edge snowfall tomorrow morning, but SW areas appear to have a front coming in from the SW during the afternoon/evening. Uppers are much more supportive of snowfall across our area- one to watch?
  5. Winds really whipping up now, gusting around 35mph. Still heavy rain with occasional sleet in the heaviest bursts. Temp now falling 5.4°C.
  6. Rain arrived here in the last hour, temperature shot up to 6°C as winds switched to a Southerly. Rain is now heavy and temperature beginning to drop off. Actually had some sleet in the very heaviest rain just now.
  7. @Mapantz https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/58273499 (sorry it took me this long to send mine over- you have an impressive setup!)
  8. Hi @Mapantz! I've been concentrating on a career change and other life things, so they (sadly!) got in the way! I've seen some photos in the chat- looks sick! You'll have to send me the specs!
  9. Overnight low of -0.2°C here, not the coldest of the spell. Rain moved in from around 10am this morning, with temperatures hovering around 1°C at the time. Ice formed on some concrete surfaces and then quickly melted! Wondering what all the fuss was about, as its now 9°C with rain. 26mm fallen already!
  10. Sad to not see any flurries last night here as well, but it just wasn't our time (again!!) Hazy sunshine this morning, gave way to cloudier skies this afternoon. High reached 2.1°C. Highest temperature since 8th December! Currently clear with a light NE'ly wind. -1.7°C.
  11. All this snow (lack of in these parts) has brought me back! Cold and cloudy was the name of the game today, high was just 1.4°C- little higher than previous days, with the frost actually melting! Currently -0.2°C and rising- clouds increasing from the SE.
  12. Thought I'd had at least an hour after work in the sun this afternoon, sadly its clouded over now with a keen SE'ly breeze. Radar really picking up over the IOW in the last 30 minutes. Can hear the first distant rumbles from those cells!
  13. 71.2mm of rain fell yesterday morning between midnight and 9am here, just up the road from you. Really was torrential at times!
  14. Local topography around Ventnor must be to blame here. Perfectly aligned convergence zone must've set up here during this morning.
  15. As others have said... Probably one of the most incredible thunderstorms I have ever experienced. Winds touched 40mph at times, extremely heavy rain and near constant lightning. As quickly as it came, it's now left us. Incredible.
  16. So I think we just experienced a supercell here on the south coast. Constant lightning, terrifyingly loud thunder and biblical amounts of rainfall. The wind gusts reached 40mph at times... Just incredible! Out the over side now and had 31mm of rain in 20 minutes. Crazy amounts that's have undoubtedly caused localised flooding. Never seen such a strong thunderstorm in my life.
  17. Have been having pulses of torrential rain and thunder since 3.30pm here. Still hearing distant rumbles and the rain isn't showing signs of stopping.
  18. Lol good point! I've got 45mph forecast, probably add 5/10mph along the coast. Maybe they should slim down their warning area!
